Today, AWS Backup announces support for Amazon Aurora continuous backup, allowing specific point-in-time restore within customers’ retention period of up to 35 days. AWS Backup is a fully managed service that centralizes and automates data protection across AWS services and hybrid workloads. With this launch, Aurora customers using AWS Backup can now meet their Recovery Point Objective (RPO) to a granularity of 1 second. 

Aurora continuous backup support with AWS Backup is available in all regions where AWS Backup and Amazon Aurora are available. You can get started by using the AWS Backup console, API, or CLI. For more information on using Aurora continuous backup with AWS Backup, visit the documentation.

설정방법

  1. AWS Management Console에 로그인하고 https://console.aws.amazon.com/backup 에서 AWS Backup 콘솔을 엽니다..
  2. 탐색 창에서 백업 계획을 선택한 다음 백업 계획 생성을 선택합니다 .
  3. 백업 규칙 아래에서 백업 규칙 추가를 선택합니다 .
  4. 백업 규칙 구성 섹션 에서 지원되는 리소스에 대한 연속 백업 활성화를 선택합니다 .

 

활성화 시 보존 기간에 최대 35일제한이 생기고 따라서 90일 초과시에만 사용할 수 있는 콜드 스토리지 전환 기능이 비활성화 된다.
